Who we are
Daraja Air Services is a Tanzanian company based in Dar es Salaam. Daraja means “bridge” in Kiswahili, and that is exactly the role we play: we are the bridge between aircraft operators, travellers and the many service providers they depend on once they are on the ground.
Our core business is ground handling supervision. We act as the operator’s representative on the ramp, making sure every part of the turnaround is carried out safely, on time and to the standard that was agreed. Alongside supervision, we arrange flight permits, charters, meet and greet, visa and luggage assistance, hotel reservations, transportation, aircraft catering, air tickets, airport lounges, ground equipment rental and safaris, so our clients can work with one team for everything.

Our flight operations team is made up of licensed flight operations personnel who understand aircraft handling from the inside. When we supervise a flight, we:
- Brief the ground handling agent, fuel supplier and caterer before the aircraft arrives
- Meet the aircraft and oversee the full turnaround: ramp services, fuelling, catering, baggage, cargo, and crew and passenger handling
- Check that safety, security and the operator’s own procedures are followed at every step
- Resolve issues on the spot and keep the crew and the operator’s operations centre informed
- Send a clear report after every flight

No single company can do everything well at every airport, so we work closely with trusted partners: ground handling agents, fuel suppliers, flight caterers, airport and civil aviation authorities, hotels, transport companies, safari operators and partner agents at airports across Africa. Each partner does what it does best. We plan, coordinate and supervise, so the client receives one smooth, dependable service instead of many separate ones.
